Area(s) of Expertise
I am an ocean biogeochemist and stable isotope geochemist with research interests in nutrient cycling in pelagic ecosystems. I use the chemical and stable isotopic compositions of pelagic organisms, primarily zooplankton, to reconstruct past ocean conditions and chemistry.
My doctoral research focused on using stable isotopes to quantify zooplankton fecal pellets in the biological pump. My current research in the Davis lab connects trace metal ratios in oxygen minimum zone foraminifera to their environment and ecology.
