Carli Arendt
Bio
My classes welcome students regardless of race, religion, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, socioeconomic status or disability status. I strive to foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
I teach MEA 101 ‘Physical Geology’, select semesters of MEA 323 ‘Geochemistry of Natural Waters’ and MEA 415/515 ‘Climate Dynamics’, MEA 472/572 ‘Glaciology’, and components of MEA 459 ‘Field Investigations of Coastal Processes’.
From a research standpoint, I use traditional and novel hydrochemistry applications to better understand Earth surface processes in polar, fluvial, coastal, and groundwater settings, with a focus on local ecosystems and communities. I am not accepting incoming graduate students at this time.
