Bio
My area of work is atmospheric dynamics and I am interested in tropical waves and hurricanes. Currently, my group is working on the origin and evolution of easterly waves. These waves are important part of the African monsoon system and are precursors to a substantial fraction of tropical cyclones in the Atlantic. I teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. My current list of courses include Mathematical Methods in Atmospheric Science, Atmospheric Dynamics-II and Introduction to Tropical Meteorology.
