My research interest is in ocean circulation and the associated dynamical processes over the continental margin and in the marginal seas. The approaches I have used include developing a nonhydrostatic model, using the model to carry out process studies of waves and currents, and applying the theoretical results to the real-ocean situation as revealed in field observations and real-time numerical simulations.
