I am currently working on my M.S. under the direction of Dr. David Genereux.
As a member of the Genereux groundwater modeling lab, I use the radiocarbon signature of groundwater to estimate its age. Our current focus is creating transit time distributions for groundwater in the Nebraska Sand Hills. With collaborators from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and the University of Utah, we are analyzing discrepancies between transit time distributions created using tracers, and those estimated by groundwater modeling studies. Bridging the gap between these two methods will allow regional aquifers to be modeled with greater accuracy.
