Bio

I am a graduate student working with Dr. Erin Hestir pursuing my Master’s in Atmospheric Science.  My research involves using satellite remote sensing, computer generated models, and in situ observations of atmospheric variables to describe the variance in carbon emissions from boreal peatlands.

I was raised all over the east coast before finding myself just a few miles away from State for my undergrad at Meredith College.  During my junior year, I started working as an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Sandra Yuter on a project called “Radar Observations of Storms for Education” which was presented in January 2015 at the AMS Annual Meeting.  During my senior year, I was selected as captain of the Meredith College soccer team, and we were named Conference Champions.  During the rare event that I’m not studying or researching, I can probably be found playing sports, reading, or traveling.
